From dossier to verdict
The app ships with 32 noir cases across six packs — from a short starter file to series set in Harbor City, 1930s Poland and interwar Europe. Each case has its own setup, cast and question budget. Setting and era depend on the file you pick.
After opening a case you read the background and see who you can talk to. You ask by voice or keyboard — there is no list of canned lines. The AI replies in character, staying within facts written into that case file. Two playthroughs of the same case rarely look identical.
Scene work and accusation
Beyond conversation you can examine the scene. On an observation turn you say what to look at; the reply describes visible details — shown in italics in the app. It is not a separate puzzle bolted onto the story: descriptions tie back to what the investigation already established.
When you have enough leads, you name a suspect and support the charge with evidence you gathered. After the case closes you get a wrap-up and verdict on whether your reasoning matches the file.
