Guess the Word

Classic twenty questions — with an AI-chosen secret word

In The Last Word, Guess the Word is a break from full detective cases: no dossier, no accusation — just you, a hidden concept and yes/no questions within a turn limit.

How a round works

You pick a category and difficulty. The AI chooses a secret word you cannot see yet. You ask closed yes/no questions or type a guess when you are confident. Harder levels give you fewer questions and can award more XP when you finish.

There are four difficulty tiers (10 to 25 questions) and five topic categories. After each round you get a short investigation rating — feedback on whether your line of questioning made sense.

Solo, party and Daily Word

Play alone or in a hot-seat party on one device — two to eight players taking turns on the same phone. Scores are saved in your round history.

Daily Word is the same puzzle for everyone at your chosen difficulty — one attempt per slot. Its leaderboard runs through Google Play Games and requires sign-in.

Not the same as Story Detective

Story Detective is a full noir case: dossier, characters, scene work, accusation. Guess the Word has no case storyline — it is a faster word game inside the same app. Both modes need internet; the game is free with a daily AI query limit.
